Finding the right teaching job takes much patience and research. There are a number of websites that offer job search and résumé posting resources for educators. At some sites you may need to register before you can look through the postings.
- Academic Employment Network
- This site allows teachers and administrators at all institutional levels to place ads and connect with one another about job openings. To use this site, jobseekers must purchase a $19.95 three-month subscription.
- Council for American Private Education
- The Council for American Private Education offers a list of job banks and employment resources in U.S. private and parochial schools.
- Education Week
- This weekly newspaper focuses on K-12 education and is widely available in education libraries, often carrying advertisements for teacher placement agencies. There is also an online version that allows you to search for jobs.
- Education World's Employment Center
- Here you’ll find listings of current job openings within the education market and a résumé bank of over 1,000 educator résumés.
- International EFL Café
- Provides current teaching opportunities overseas.
- Job Fair Finder for Educators
- This website from the Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center and the Kansas Recruitment and Retention Program offers a searchable directory for job fairs in all 50 states.
- JobsinSchools.com
- Using a variety of services, candidates can first identify and screen schools and school systems in geographic areas where they want to work. Then they can evaluate schools and districts to determine where they have the best fit and want to apply.

- This website offers job bank and résumé posting resources for teaching and administrative jobs at public and private schools.
- National Teacher Recruitment Clearinghouse
- Sponsored by the nonprofit Recruiting New Teachers Inc. and funded by the U.S. Department of Education, this site provides links to job banks nationwide. The site also offers practical resources for recruiters, teachers seeking jobs, prospective teachers, and school districts seeking ways to retain teachers.

- This website offers employment resources for education professionals. At this website you can search for and apply for jobs. You can also build, post, and manage your professional portfolio.
