Eddie Kennison credits the high standards of English teacher Jacquelyn Stevens for taking him out of his comfort zone and into a life of success. “It didn't take us long to realize that if we didn't want to do an assignment over and over, we'd better just do it right the first time,” the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver recalls. “I began to focus my attention on becoming the best I could be at everything."

Even a few hours of your time can go a long way in supporting our mission. TeachersCount is a national organization carrying out a number of programs, so our work involves a variety of fields, including program development, business, marketing, advertising, sales, fundraising and website design and maintenance. Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and may work with us full-time or part-time, in an advisory or consultative role, or on a project-by-project basis.
